TH-1 fast-scan cyclic voltammetry software

View your experiment in 3-D! The voltage is plotted against time with current expressed in colors. Each segment of time represents a complete cyclic voltamagram.

Finally, a powerful analytical technology tool that will enable researchers to study and measure neurotransmission as it occurs during real-time behavior in freely moving animals. Designed exclusively for fast cyclic voltammetry (FCV), ESA’s powerful TH-1 electroanalysis software for in vivo experiments allows neuroscience researchers to fully integrate electrophysiology and behavior with chemistry.

FCV is extremely useful for studying neurotransmitters in the living brain. More-conventional methods, such as microdialysis, typically intergrate measurements over a five- to 10-minute time frame. However, neurotransmission is much faster, occurring at the millisecond range. The TH-1 software gives researchers greater capabilities in the type of experiments they can perform, along with greater temporal and spatial resolution. TH-1 creates the applied waveform, controls peripheral devices such a stimulators, collects and processes the data, and displays the data in a unique 3D format for easy interpretation of results. The fast response approaches the time and space of neurotransmission.

Features:

  • Extremely flexible, TH-1 allows control of all experimental parameters
  • Output to an external stimulus device can be created and coordinated with the measurement waveform for evoked release experiments
  • See the entire experiment in 3D – select areas for background correction or to extract CVs or calculate levels
  • Results can be organized with convenient “drag and drop” functions to create and print reports ready for publication
