Metabolomics Lab Services
ESA Laboratories introduces an exciting new analytical service for metabolomics researchers that uses cutting-edge electrochemical array detection technology. The innovative CoulArray®-based methodology is a powerful technique for multivariate profiling of redox-active metabolites, including antioxidants, pro-oxidants, damage markers, and signalling molecules. Hundreds of metabolites can be measured at biologically relevant concentrations and mass spectrometry (MS) can be incorporated for even greater coverage of the metabolome. The data provided by these technologies can lead to the identification of potential biomarkers. A cornerstone of ESA’s highly regarded metabolomics initiative, this powerful service is now being made available to the researcher at large.
ESA Laboratories offers a broad range of service options for the analysis of metabolomics samples involving the use of both electrochemical detection and MS. The types of services and the data obtained include:
- Sample profiling by electrochemical array detection
- Global and targeted (e.g. fat-soluble vitamins and antioxidant) analyses
- Parallel analysis by MS
- Methods applicable to a variety of biological matrices: plasma, saliva, urine, cell culture medium etc.
- The use of Principal Component Analysis to explore the data for sample groupings – See graphic
- Qualifying information regarding the types of compounds detected is available from retention times, mass-to-charge ratios, and voltammograms.
ESA Laboratories can provide researchers with the means to examine either a broad spectrum or specific types of small molecules. These methods are compatible with both in vitro and in vivo experimental methods. |
